Common questions
How do I delete my account?
In the app: tap the gear icon on the Diary tab, then Account → Delete Account. This permanently erases your diary, recipes, weight history, and profile from our servers and your device. It cannot be undone.
Does deleting my account cancel my subscription?
No. Subscriptions are billed by Apple, so you must cancel separately in Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your iPhone. Cancel there first, then delete your account.
My data isn't syncing between devices.
Make sure you're signed in with the same email on both devices and that you have a network connection. You can force a sync from Settings → Account → Sync Now, which also shows when the last successful sync happened.
Voice logging isn't hearing me.
Check that microphone and speech recognition permissions are granted in iOS Settings → NomCal. Speech is converted to text on your device, so it also needs a moment after your first use to prepare the on-device recognizer.
The nutrition numbers for a food look wrong.
Generic foods come from the USDA database and packaged foods from Open Food Facts, which is community-maintained, so occasional entries are inaccurate. You can edit any logged entry's macros directly, and reporting the food to us helps us handle it better.
How do I remove data the app wrote to Apple Health?
Open the Health app, go to Browse → Nutrition (or Body Measurements for weight), select the data type, and delete the entries. You can also revoke the app's access entirely under Health → Sharing → Apps.
